Kömmerling 70 AD – The advantages in detail

Thermal insulation, soundproofing and security

Kömmerling uPVC windows boast great thermal insulation, soundproofing and security. The 5-chamber profile Kömmerling 70 AD has an installation depth of 70 mm which allows the frame to be effectively combined with double glazing while still ensuring enough space for triple glazing. This makes the Kömmerling 70 AD profile an ideal choice for modern, energy-efficient homes as excellent thermal and sound insulation can be relied upon.

Undesirable incoming or escaping heat can be kept to a minimum with the right window glazing. With good thermal insulation defined by a low heat transfer coefficient, or u-value, the Kömmerling 70 AD profile provides just this with an excellent Uw-value of 0.92 W/m²K. The 2 built-in sealing levels then also make the window particularly suitable for low-energy homes.

Alongside its great thermal properties, the Kömmerling 70 AD profiles also hits the mark when it comes to noise protection; purpose designed soundproof glazing can even be added as an optional extra in the configurator to further shield interiors from noise. Or perhaps you would prefer to combine the profile with our high-performance security glazing – alongside additional locking points, this has the Kömmerling 70 AD profile meet the RC2 burglar resistance class, making it a real all-rounder.

Kömmerling 76 AD

The 76 mm construction depth of the 5 chamber Kömmerling 76 AD profile creates enough space for both double or triple glazing to be chosen. Especially with triple glazing, the window is ideal for contemporary low-energy homes as undesirable incoming or escaping heat is kept to a minimum, helping to maintain a comfortable stable interior temperature.

The profile can acheive an excellently low thermal insulation Uw-value of 0.81 W/m²K, for example. The thermal performance of uPVC trumps that of aluminium or wood and in the case of the Kömmerling 76 AD high-quality seals further contribute to this excellent insulation.

Two seals are used, for example, to reduce unwanted heat transfer and a further thermal edge seal, or “warm edge” can also be added.

Kömmerling 76 MD

The Kömmerling 76 MD profile can be configured to suit individual requirements and tastes. Different glazings can be selected, for example and while some, such as security glazing, provide superior impact-resistance, others like a double-glazed ornamental variant add privacy and charm. For a finishing touch, glazing bars can also be added and the window’s colour can be selected from our generous RAL palette. Tones like anthracite grey or golden oak are popular favourites.

The selected colour for a Kömmerling 76 MD window is applied through an innovative foiling process which contributes to the window’s long-lasting finish and low-maintenance.

Unlike wood, for example, which must be regularly oiled and repainted, uPVC with a decorative foil impresses with its weather-resistance and durability; The popular surface only requires a little water and detergent to remove any build-up of dirt and will remain in good condition for years to come.

Kömmerling 88 MD

Although they are made from uPVC, with the Kömmerling 88 MD profile of Fenestras you do not have to go without the warm textured appearance that wood windows bring. A variety of replica timber decor films can be selected from to coat the window’s surface, for example. Whether golden oak, walnut or one of our RAL colours, the sash and frame will feature a UV and weather-resistant decorative finish which will remain vibrant for years.

At Fenestras customers are given a wide scope of choice and this does not stop at colours; Glazing bars can also be added, as can purpose-designed glass variants, such as security, ornamental and soundproof options. The Kömmerling 88 MD window can therefore become a bespoke product tailored to your exact requirements and wishes.

With this additional seal built into its profile, the Kömmerling 88 MD window provides increased sound and thermal insulation – but don’t just take our word for it, this is also reflected in the product’s impressive data.

U-values, for example, define the amount of heat lost each hour per square metre. This means that the lower the u-value, the less energy is lost and meeting the highest of requirements, the thermal Uw-value of this profile is a superbly low 0.72 W/m²K.
